Technical Leadership RoleWe are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Northwestern Mutual. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for demonstrating technical leadership to the team, establishing and sharing team standards and best practices, and engaging in software design and hands-on development.Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical leadership to the team and establish team standards and best practices.
• Engage in software design and hands-on development, utilizing working relationships across teams within the division.
• Assess and provide solutions to system-wide architectural problems.
• Be a mentor to junior developers and provide guidance and support.Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional development experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience working with modern engineering tools, languages, and practices.
  • Expertise in full stack development, including front-end development in modern technologies like REACT, JavaScript, Node JS.
  • Expertise in backend development, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Java Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka.
  • CI/CD skills and experience developing solutions using agile methods.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, ownership mindset, and continuous learning.CompensationNorthwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure, and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate.Pay Range - Start: $100,030.00Pay Range - End: $185,770.00Please note that the salary range listed in the posting is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations, such as California, may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location.
