Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Associate Team Leader to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Assist Team Leader: Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist in the analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Develop Store Layout and Product Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising that drive sales and customer engagement.
• Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor relations, and ensure all paperwork is properly submitted for vendor processing.
• Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Performance Evaluations: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to Team Members.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiastic, and displays an affinity for our products, core values, and company philosophy. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a wet and cold environment.Working ConditionsThis is a fast-paced retail environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
