  • Job Details
  • Registered Nurse in Oncology at ThedaCare - Appleton.
  • Contract starts ASAP with guaranteed 36 hours per week.
  • Primary location on the 6th Floor of ThedaCare Appleton.
  • Responsible for ONC/MS RN duties on 6th Floor - 12 hr Days shifts.
  • Day-to-day duties include: Port utilization, chemo administration, CPAP/BiPAP usage, initiating and titrating heparin/insulin drips.
  • Patient care for medical patients on 6th floor and higher acuity on 7th floor.
  • Patient ratio for 6th/7th floor ranges from 1:5-6 with support staff, and decreases to 1:3-4 for Primary care/Chemo Admin.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum of 3+ years RN experience.
    • Minimum of 2+ years Med/Surg experience and capability of interpreting cardiac telemetry.
    • Experience with M/S patient population and Oncology/neutropenic patients.
    • EPIC charting experience within the last 2 years.
    • Must have completed at least one contract previously.
    • No new travelers.
      • Schedule Information
      • Rotating shifts of 12hr Days.
      • Every other weekend work required.
      • Holiday rotation necessary.
      • Must make up any missed shift within 2 weeks of the absence.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Floating mostly between 6th/7th floor (MS/Oncology).
        • Floating throughout the facility and to all ThedaCare Facilities within a 60 mile radius as needed.
          • Additional Details
          • AUTO OFFER UNIT.
          • GSA hours not guaranteed during the week of Orientation.
          • Traveler guaranteed set hours per week, exceptions during holidays when unit is closed.
          • ** Note: Travelers not accepted from facilities or home locations within 50 miles of ThedaCare Corporate Center in Neenah, WI.**
