  • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hrs
  • Primary Location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital
  • Shift Requirements: 12 hr days 7a-730p
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • Charting Experience: EPIC required.
  • Scrub Colors: any color scrubs
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum Experience: 2 years
    • Trauma level II experience highly preferred
    • Desired skillset: Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates
    • Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
    • Willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
    • Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes which can occur throughout a shift
      • Schedule Information
      • 36 hrs per week
      • 12 hr days 7a-730p
      • Every other weekend and every other holiday
        • Unit Specific Information
        • MAP Unit - Medical and Pediatrics (Medical and Pediatrics - travelers do not take Peds patients)
        • Major conditions/most frequent diagnoses treated: Adults - respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions (e.g., seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal
        • Typical patient ratios on days 1:4-5 and on nights 1:6-7
          • Additional Details
          • Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Aspirus Wausau
