within the Controller Group. Responsible for Regulatory Reporting
team objectives, overseeing the Regulatory Reporting team, staying
abreast of new reporting issues/pronouncements from FASB, SEC, and
other applicable regulatory bodies. The Regulatory Reporting team
is responsible for the preparation of (in accordance / compliance
with GAAP, FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, FFIEC, and other external
bodies) externally reported consolidated financial information,
legal entity financial and, executive management reporting and
analysis and for the integrity of the BPC database and resultant
reporting. Also responsible for analysis of, reporting of, and
communication around the financial information of the holding
company, legal entity subsidiaries, and consolidated ASB.This
person will,
- Lead and oversee the Reporting team on all new reporting/issues
from regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate the management and control of the Reporting function
to deliver/include: production and review of periodic consolidated
financial information in accordance with GAAP, utilizing such to
prepare/review/distribute externally reported consolidated
financial information (Call Reports, Y-9s, Summary of Deposits,
weekly Federal Reserve filings, and annual census bureau filings,
other regulatory filings, etc.); analysis and/or support to the
monthly closing of periodic consolidated or legal entity data
(e.g., yield analysis, capital evaluation, etc.); analysis of
consolidated and legal entity financial information and
prepare/review/distribute related financial statements, management
reporting packages, etc.); and development of technical expertise
with regard to GAAP, FASB, SEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, FFIEC, and
other regulations and supporting the internal controls
environment.
- Assist with managing the monthly analytical review of
consolidated and/or affiliate financial information, document
variances, and facilitate follow-up efforts to discrepancies or
other reporting needs. Assist with the oversight of the preparation
of reports for executive management (cliff notes, ad hoc
information, etc.). Ensure robust analytics are performed and used
to assist management's understanding of results and
decision-makingRequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management
Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and
experience RequiredExperience
- 4-7 years in Accounting and/or finance Required
- 2-4 years in the Banking Industry Required
- Less than 2 years Supervision PreferredLicenses and
Certifications
- CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date PreferredIn
