- Contribute: Database Engineers build and operate Sentry's
resilient, performant, and secure databases and database systems at
scale. In this role, you will:
- Support multiple database platforms focusing on installation,
configuration, performance and administration.
- Develop and maintain solutions which build, deploy and manage
database platforms at scale leveraging technology such as
PowerShell, Configuration as Code, and .NET.
- Proficiently execute non-routine change requests and
maintenance activities for technologies within area of focus as
well as applicable scripting and automation technologies.
- Effectively represent the team within cross-functional groups
on medium complexity initiatives or issues.
- Actively and regularly contribute to agile delivery methodology
functions such as stand up, planning, retrospectives,
- code/solutions reviews, problem analysis, and technical
demonstrations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for
critical systems and capabilities.
- What it Takes:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Experience in enterprise scale database administration.
- Demonstrated experience administering and supporting multiple
database platforms including SQL Server, MongoDB, DocumentDB, and
Snowflake.
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps
tools and practices, PowerShell, python, or other advanced
scripting languages.If you have experience or knowledge in the
