Job Description:

Vaco Staffing is searching for a Controller for a client in Milwaukee, WI. -

Main duties:

• Responsibility for the monthly closing process.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in operations, asset management and productivity programs.
• Work closely Corporate Finance to ensure that there is adequate documentation, process flows and support for compliance.
• Seeks out and seizes opportunities for cost reduction through process, policy and practice initiatives.
• Identify and drive operational efficiencies for accounting cycle as well as enhancing procedures and standard work instructions.
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls and procedures over financial reporting including design and assessment of effectiveness of controls and procedures.
• Prepare and track Capital Asset Requisition Request.
• Assist in the coordination financial statements and SOX 404 audits by Internal and External auditors.
• Preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Coordinate the review and processing of division expense reports and accounts payable disbursements though the Shared Services group.
• Support annual physical inventory and cycle counting.Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting is required
  • CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of previous management experience
  • Experience with cost accounting
  • Strong in US-GAAP knowledge -
